Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this marketing website, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by KYC & Credit Technologies Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Underwriting UK — the team behind W.A.L.T. (Wise Automated Lending Technology). We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17158711), with our registered office at 49 Grosvenor Street, London W1K 3HP. We are the “data controller” for personal data collected through this website. This policy covers the marketing site only; the W.A.L.T. underwriting platform is governed by separate agreements with our lender clients.
2. The information we collect
When you contact us. If you submit the “Request the data room” form, we collect the name, work email, company and any message you provide. We use these details solely to respond to your enquiry and send the materials you asked for.
Privacy-friendly analytics. We use first-party, cookieless analytics to understand how the site is used. We record aggregated, non-identifying events — which pages are viewed, the domain of the website that referred you, which buttons (calls-to-action) are clicked, your approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is then masked and not stored), your device’s screen width, and any campaign tag (a “utm” parameter) in the link you followed. We do not use cookies, we do not build individual profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as request times) for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
3. Cookies
This website does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies. Because nothing is stored on your device, no cookie-consent banner is required.
4. How we use your data, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and send requested investor materials — on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to a request you initiated, and/or taking steps at your request before entering into discussions.
- To measure and improve the website — on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and improving our site, kept proportionate by using cookieless, non-identifying analytics.
5. Who we share it with
We use Microsoft Azure as our technology provider (acting as our processor) for website hosting, email delivery (Azure Communication Services) and analytics (Azure Application Insights). We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Where your data is processed
Our infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure in UK and EU regions. Enquiry email and analytics data are configured for UK/EU data residency.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiry details — kept only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain reasonable business records, then deleted.
- Analytics — retained only in aggregate for a limited period (typically up to 90 days); no identifying information is stored.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability; where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and processing within trusted UK/EU cloud infrastructure — to protect personal data.
10. Children
This website is intended for a business and professional-investor audience and is not directed at children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
12. Contact us
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email elias@underwritinguk.ai.
This policy reflects how the website currently handles data. Our ICO registration reference will be added here once registration is complete. We recommend a final review by your legal/compliance team before relying on it publicly.
